WELCOME TO THE MACHINE is selected as one of the ten documentary projects for this year's IFP Independent Film Lab. IFP's Independent Filmmaker Labs is the only program in the world currently supporting first-time feature directors in post-production to complete, market and distribute their films. Focusing exclusively on low-budget features, this highly immersive mentorship program provides filmmakers with the technical, creative and strategic tools necessary to launch their films – and their careers.

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE Director Avi Zev Weider is the recipient of a 2010 New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) Individual Artist grant in support of this film.

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE, which was recently given a small finishing funds grant from the Experimental Television Center will be attending the market in the Spotlight on Documentaries section. This section features works-in-progress projects intended to be feature length films.
